CFMOTO clarifies RideSync App confusion — is free for U.S. customers
Following the buzz from last week’s 2026 lineup announcement on Powersports Business, CFMOTO USA has issued a clarification regarding recent online rumors about its connected-vehicle app.

Reports circulated on YouTube and social media suggesting that CFMOTO might begin charging U.S. riders a subscription fee for access to its RideSync app features. According to the company, that information is incorrect.
“CFMOTO USA’s app, RideSync, is free to U.S. owners and CFMOTO USA does not – and has never had – any plans to charge for a subscription, now or in the future,” the company stated.
The confusion stems from differences between CFMOTO USA’s RideSync app and the separate Global Ride App used in Europe and other markets. While the Global version may involve subscriptions, the company emphasized that this does not apply to U.S. customers.
Key facts for dealers:
- RideSync is exclusive to U.S. riders and is free to download and use.
- The app provides features such as ride analytics, vehicle status monitoring, system scans, and telemetry data.
- CFMOTO Global’s Ride App serves Europe and other international markets, where subscriptions may apply.
The company also noted that the rumors originated from a U.S.-based YouTube channel that received incorrect information from Portugal. The channel has since corrected its report.

For U.S. dealers, the clarification reinforces that RideSync remains a no-cost value-added benefit for buyers — important news as showrooms prepare for increased interest following the brand’s latest model introductions.
