Ricky Carmichael inducted into the Florida Sports Hall of Fame
Supercross and Motocross legend Ricky Carmichael — widely considered one of the greatest off-road motorcycle racing athletes in the history of the sport — was officially inducted into the 2025 Florida Sports Hall of Fame on Nov. 20.

In his 12 years of professional racing in the Supercross and Motocross championships, Carmichael compiled 161 combined victories and 16 combined championships, both of which are the most of all time.
From 2000 to 2006, Carmichael won seven straight Premier Class Motocross titles and five Premier Class Supercross titles, and is still considered one of the most dominant runs in the sport’s history.
In international competition, Carmichael proved his dominance on the world stage when he led Team USA to three victories in the Motocross of Nations, winning the individual overall in each victory.
In addition to his illustrious racing career, Carmichael also earned three straight gold medals at the X-Games in Moto X racing and the Moto X Step Up competitions from 2007 to 2009. He is also credited with 19 top 10 finishes in his NASCAR career, making starts in both the Cup and Truck series.
