China: 17 Million Cycles Produced in 2005
China’s National Bureau of Statistics revealed that manufacturers produced a total of 17 million motorcycles there in 2005.
China’s Guangdong Province has surpassed the Chongqing Municipality as the country’s number one motorcycle producing area. Guangdong produced 4.5 million motorcycles in 2005 while Chongqing produced 4.2 million, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
