Powersports Business announces editorial hiring

Powersports Business today announced the hiring of staff reporter Abby Larson. Larson, a 2018 graduate of the University of Minnesota, comes from a family of powersports racing enthusiasts. It was appropriate that on her first days on the new gig, she visited the Honda of South Carolina Manufacturing, Inc., plant; she grew up in Minnesota riding a Trail 70 in addition to ATVs and snowmobiles.

She brings experience from her previous employer, Gander Outdoors, where she handled content for fishing, camping and hunting products. She’s also played hockey for the past decade.

“We’re excited to add Abby’s enthusiasm for all things powersports not only to our brand, but to our industry,” Powersports Business editor in chief Dave McMahon said. “She’s hit the ground running, attending the Drag Specialties Tour stop in Minneapolis last week. She’ll also be getting VIP treatment at the Spring Creek MX on Saturday. If you haven’t heard from her yet, you will soon!”

Larson joins a Powersports Business brand that won a Silver Award in 2017 from the Minnesota Magazine & Publishing Association for Multi-Media Storytelling (All Publications), following up on a Top Four Award nationally in 2016 from the Jesse H. Neal Awards for Best Media Brand (Overall Editorial Excellence) in its revenue category.
