Campagna issues motorcycle recall

Campagna Motors is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 T-Rex 16S motorcycles when it was found that the steering column of affected bikes could be incorrectly connecting to the steering rack, allowing the steering column to disconnect from the steering rack. If the column disconnects, the drive would lose the ability to steer the vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.

The affected vehicles were manufactured June 3, 2013 through October 20, 2015.

Campagna will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and correct the steering column to steering rack assembly, as necessary, free of charge. The recall was expected to begin on March 21, 2016. Owners may contact Campagna customer service at 888/641-2112 extension 222.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888/327-4236 or go to www.safercare.gov.
