Tiede promoted to VP of Sales at Woody’s parent IEM
Hope, Michigan-based International Engineering & Manufacturing (IEM), maker of Woody’s Traction products, announced that Larry Tiede has been promoted to vice president of Sales and Development. In his new role, Tiede will be responsible for the company’s production, national and international sales strategies and diversification opportunities.
Tiede has been with IEM for 19 years and has held many key positions, including race director, Research and Development project manager and most recently manufacturer’s representative. Tiede was instrumental in building the company’s product training program for distributors, their representatives and dealer network, and leading IEM’s efforts in the research and development of products.
“There is no better time to help lead International Engineering and Manufacturing,” Tiede said. “We have so many opportunities ahead of us and tremendous strength from our employees to help us get there. The future is bright for IEM and I’m fortunate to help lead the way.”
Tiede, a 42-year veteran of snowmobile racing, is a member of the International Snowmobile Racing (ISR) Committee and served as president for the Specialty Manufactures and Distributors Group (SMDG) for eight years. Tiede is a 2018 inductee to the Michigan Motorsports Hall of Fame. He has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University.
