Dealer sells business after 30 years of ownership

Devin Battley announced that he has sold his Battley Harley-Davidson/Battley Cycles dealership in Gaithersburg, Maryland, to Bayside Harley-Davidson in Portsmouth, Virginia, and it will be renamed District Harley-Davidson. Bayside will take over the day-to-day operations of the store. Battley Cycles carries Ducati and BMW motorcycles, and those franchises will remain in the new store.

Battley founded Battley Cycles in Wheaton over 30 years ago and purchased Rockville Harley-Davidson. He said he still plans to be at the shop and at dealership events. “This is not a goodbye, but a ‘hello’ to the new District Harley-Davidson,” he said.
