Yamaha U.S. Marine Business Unit has announced the appointment of Robert Orr to marine technical services manager, Yamaha Marine Service Operations Division. In his new role, Orr is responsible for enhancing customer satisfaction through product improvement. Orr and his team provide technical and product information support by monitoring the market for outboards, WaveRunners, and boats, and reporting feedback to the various Yamaha factories.
“Robert has more than 23 years of experience and unique market analytical knowledge,” says Marine Service Operations Division Manager Jeremy Waki. “His insight and the information gathered by his team helps to provide the insight Yamaha needs to enhance our product offerings and ultimately deliver greater customer satisfaction.”
Orr joined Yamaha in 2000 as a regional technical advisor for all motorsports product lines with a focus in snowmobiles. Since that time, he held various positions within Yamaha including watercraft technical coordinator, qatercraft accessory coordinator, snowmobile accessory and apparel coordinator, golf car accessory coordinator, watercraft technical coordinator, and watercraft technical and call center support manager.
Orr reports directly to Jeremy Waki, Marine Service Operations Division Manager.
