Honda Building $20 Million Data Center in Colorado

Not long after announcing the planned construction of a $550 million auto assembly plant in Indiana, American Honda Motor Co. Inc. has purchased 11. 4 acres of land in Longmont, Colo., to build a $20 million data center.
The new 60,000-square-foot building at the Boulder County Business Center is estimated to be a $25 million-plus investment and will initially employ about a dozen workers.
The data center will ensure reliable uptime of Honda data, guaranteeing the company’s data infrastructure experiences no more than about one hour of downtime per year.
This will be Honda’s second facility in Colorado; its first is a training center for dealers in Englewood.
