Made in America @ AIMExpo promotes homegrown powersports brands

News release

The American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo), the October event in Orlando that has quickly grown to become the standard bearer for the North American powersports industry, introduces a new showcase of homegrown products for the 2015 show. Made in America @ AIMExpo will put the spotlight on American companies designing, assembling, or producing the best products in the country.

Following input from key domestic companies, the American Made Pavilion was initially featured in 2014 as an opportunity for these brands to showcase their American roots. As part of AIMExpo’s commitment to build on that opportunity, Made in America will evolve to showcase the ingenuity of American companies and their broad influence on the domestic and international powersports marketplace.

The focus on American-made brands will not only serve as a platform for all American companies to participate, but will also provide a natural home for producers of American V-Twin products. With AIMExpo’s realized vision of an international show that attracts buyers from all over the globe, Made in America will take a fresh approach to showcasing those products and brands to dealers and importers seeking to add American lines.

“We made a commitment from the start that we would work to create value and energize the market with innovative ideas at AIMExpo, and this is the next step in that vision,” said Larry Little, VP and GM of the Marketplace Events Motorcycle Group. “It is also our approach to embracing the American V-Twin market segment with a focus first on American, and then V-Twin.”

“The time has come to showcase American companies and their American ingenuity!” Said Bob Kay, V-Twin Director, AIMExpo. “Made in America is the first of a number of initiatives we are developing to create a new home for American companies who market to the highly impactful V-Twin community. At the same time, we’re working hard to identify key event components important for V-Twin companies, so stay tuned for additional announcements about those in the near future.”

Following the highly successful second edition of AIMExpo, renewals for the 2015 event continue at a rapid pace. Booth space allocation begins in January with selection priority based first on companies who renewed by the December 1, 2014 renewal deadline. Following the renewal period, space will be allocated in the order in which a company contracts for 2015 exhibit space.
