Parade serves as centerpiece of Harley-Davidson’s 110th
In the midst of Harley-Davidson’s four-day celebration commemorating its 110th anniversary was a parade, which drew nearly 7,000 customers, dealers and employees, as they rode through downtown Milwaukee.
The five-mile route that took riders down Wisconsin Avenue from Miller Park to the Summerfest Grounds racked up more than 32,000 collective miles for the group. Tens of thousands were on hand to watch the spectacle.
Parker Anderson, a 16-year-old Harley Owners Group member from Appleton, Wis., wore the Freedom Jacket during the parade. The black leather jacket toured 11 countries on six continents during Harley-Davidson’s yearlong celebration that culminated in the Milwaukee party. Following the festivities, the jacket will be on display at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee.
Notable riders in the parade included actresses Katee Sackhoff and Tricia Helfer, Hollywood director F. Gary Gray and UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez.
