MotoAmerica announces 2026 Superbike schedule, celebrates 50 years of AMA Superbike racing
MotoAmerica has unveiled its 2026 Superbike Championship schedule, a nine-round, 20-race season that will celebrate the 50th anniversary of AMA Superbike racing. The series kicks off April 17–19 at Road Atlanta and wraps up September 18–20 at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

The milestone season commemorates the first AMA Superbike race held at Daytona International Speedway in 1976, where Reg Pridmore took the title on a BMW R90S.
All nine rounds will feature both the premier Superbike class and the Motovation Supersport class, with two tripleheader weekends set for Virginia International Raceway and New Jersey Motorsports Park. Alongside those, MotoAmerica will showcase additional championships at select events:
- Mission King Of The Baggers – 14 races, including doubleheaders at Daytona, Road Atlanta, Road America, Laguna Seca, Mid-Ohio, COTA, and NJMP.
- Mission Super Hooligan National Championship – Six rounds, running alongside Baggers at Daytona, Barber, Ridge, Laguna Seca, Mid-Ohio, and VIR.
- SC-Project Twins Cup – 14 races, starting at Daytona with stops at Road Atlanta, Barber, Road America, Mid-Ohio, VIR, and NJMP.
- Parts Unlimited Talent Cup by Motul – 16 races, with the season opener at Circuit of The Americas during the MotoGP weekend in March.
- Royal Enfield Build.Train.Race. – Eight races, with schedule details to follow.
The 2026 Motovation Supersport Championship will run 19 races, starting with the 84th running of the Daytona 200, March 5–7. For the first time under MotoAmerica’s watch, the legendary “Great American Motorcycle Race” will count toward Supersport points, bringing added weight to the season opener.
“This has been our best season to date,” says MotoAmerica COO Chuck Aksland. “The racing has been outstanding, and the Superbike Championship looks set to go right down to the last lap at New Jersey. We’ve had some incredible crowds this year and we can’t wait to see even more fans join us in 2026. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of AMA Superbike racing will make it a season to remember.”
