WMT announces partnership with Suzuki

Women’s Motorcycle Tours (WMT) has announced the partnership with Suzuki Motor USA, LLC as a sponsor of the Suffragists Centennial Motorcycle Ride, July 31 – August 20, 2021 and the Women’s Motorcycle Festival & Conference, August 19 – 22, 2021.

During the ride Wendy Crockett, winner of the 2019 Iron Butt Rally, who will be riding from Portland, Oregon to Arlington, Virginia where she will showcase the experience for both Women’s Motorcycle Tours and SMC through video and photo, will represent Suzuki.

“I am so happy that Suzuki is joining us on the Centennial Ride. They were a key supporter of my 2016 Sisters’ Centennial Motorcycle Ride cross-country event and it is fun to be working with them once again,” said WMT founder Alisa Clickenger in the announcement. “Suzuki makes terrific motorcycles, and I am delighted that Wendy Crockett will be riding a Suzuki V-STROM 1050XT as it’s the ideal cross-country motorcycle for this type of adventure.”

Suzuki Motor Corporation was started in 1909 and today has grown into a multinational corporation headquartered in Minami-ku, Hamamatsu, Japan. Suzuki manufactures automobiles, four-wheel drive vehicles, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), outboard marine engines, wheelchairs and a variety of other small internal combustion engines.

“Suzuki is very excited to sponsor this incredible women’s riding event and conference,” said Kerry Graeber, vice president, division manager, MC/ATV sales and marketing for Suzuki. “Our involvement with Women’s Motorcycle Tours, the Suffragists Centennial Motorcycle Ride, and Wendy Crockett showcase the Suzuki V-STROM’s engineering, technology and riding excitement like no other event on the national schedule. Women riders are a key component of growing our industry.”
