Wandell named chair at Exide batteries

The Milwaukee Business Journal reports that Keith Wandell, retiring president and CEO of Harley-Davidson, has been named chairman of Exide Technologies. The appointment comes as part of Exide’s “bankruptcy reorganization, according to court records,” according to the report. In addition, John Olin, senior vice president and CFO of Harley-Davidson, will join the Exide board.

Prior to being named CEO at Harley-Davidson six years ago, Wandell served as president and COO at Johnson Controls, Inc., one of the world’s leading battery makers and an Exide competitor.
