American Honda Motor Co. revealed dozens of new models during the company's annual dealer convention, held recently in Las Vegas.
Among the highlights are two radically updated cruisers: the VTX1800T Tourer offered with saddlebags, a large, protective windshield and a supportive passenger backrest; and the 750 Shadow Spirit, which comes with an all-new 21-inch front wheel with low-profile tire, low 25.7-inch seat height and bobbed fenders.
Sportbike enthusiasts will be glad to see an all-new CBR600RR. In addition to updated styling, the new-for-2007 CBR600RR is powered by a new, more compact engine putting out greater horsepower and torque, a lighter aluminum frame, stronger front brakes and HESD electronic steering damper. Meanwhile, the venerable VFR800/A Interceptor , powered by the VTEC-equipped, fuel-injected V-4, will come in a heritage paint scheme.
In off-road, the CRF150R is a new four-stroke for the youth class and is available in both regular and Expert models.
In ATVs, the TRX500FPE, or Foreman ES, offers Honda's Electric Power Steering, TraxLok on-demand 2WD/4WD and Honda's Electronic Shift Program (ESP); the TRX420FE/FM, TRX420TE/TM Ranchers feature new fuel-injected 420cc engines and body styling, as well as a new TraxLok system on the TRX420FE/FM; and the TRX300EX arrives with an all-new, easier-to-actuate reverse system and aggressive new bodywork available in Red and Black Metallic.
