Buena Park, Calif.-based KMC Wheels announced that the brand has become the official wheel of Joe Gibbs Racing Motocross (JGRMX), supporting its team of racers in the American Motorcyclist Association’s Supercross and Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship seasons through 2018.
The JGRMX team was founded by Coy Gibbs, son of NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame head coach Joe Gibbs, who has won three Super Bowls and founded his own winning NASCAR Sprint Cup team.
The partnership will not only support the team and its race initiatives, but will place the KMC logo on team haulers, on the rear fender of race bikes and will include prime jersey placement for the team as it competes in upcoming seasons.
Due to their superior performance and excellence in design, KMC Wheels have become one of the most popular selections for professional athletes, drivers and more importantly, the motocross scene.
“KMC Wheels is very excited about being the official wheel of JGRMX, as they represent the innovation, passion and talent that’s required to win at the highest level,” said Mike Bell, KMC sports marketing manager. “The name Joe Gibbs is highly respected and encompasses all we look for in a long-term partnership.”
“Joe Gibbs Racing has worked hard to become one of the most prominent motocross teams since its founding in 2008, and we are happy to include KMC Wheels as our newest partner for a successful 2016 season,” said Coy Gibbs, founder of Joe Gibbs Racing. “KMC Wheels has a stellar reputation for quality and leading edge technology that makes their products a great option for our riders as well as fans. We’re looking forward to a long relationship with KMC.”
