NPA Madison set for first live auction on Sept. 13

Poway, California-based National Powersport Auctions (NPA) announced that its newest facility in Madison, Wisconsin, is now open and ready for business. The second largest city in Wisconsin, Madison is the state capital and home to the University of Wisconsin and industry events such as the Parts Unlimited NVP Product Expo. Combined with its close proximity to major cities like Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis, it is an ideal choice for the latest National Powersport Auctions live auction facility.

“Why did we choose Madison? To make it easier for our dealers to do business with us,” said Jim Woodruff, NPA’s chief operating officer. “Madison is in close proximity to Chicago, Minneapolis and Milwaukee. This puts us much closer to our customers in the region and makes buying and selling through NPA even more convenient.”

NPA Madison is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., and is currently receiving powersport vehicles. The first live auction will take place there on Thursday, September 13 at 9:00 a.m. Central time. Like all of NPA’s live auctions, dealers will be able to bid in person or online via NPA’s Simulcast software. To register with National Powersport Auctions, visit www.npauctions.com. Members of the Powersports Business team will be on hand for the inaugural Madison auction.

“NPA Madison also helps our transporters and reduces the time to auction for everyone in the region,” Woodruff added.

NPA’s sixth live auction facility is also just 10 minutes form Dane County Regional Airport.

“There are direct flights between Madison and our other locations, making this new location readily accessible for our out-of-state buyers, sellers and clients,” Woodruff said.

The new NPA operation has over 66,000 square feet under roof.

“We are projecting 600-800 units for our future live auctions,” Woodruff points out.

Because of the location, the mix of units will be more diverse.

“Maybe it’s fate, a coincidence or a fluke, but our first vehicle in Madison, Wisconsin, was a snowmobile,” he added.

NPA points out that state of Wisconsin requires all dealers (including out of state) to have a Wisconsin Buyer’s License to purchase auction vehicles in the state of Wisconsin.

If you do not have a Wisconsin Buyer’s License, please visit https://www.npauctions.com/ContentPage.aspx?cp=NPA_Madison and follow the steps to submit an application. It is a single page application and NPA will credit your account for the amount of the state’s application fee.
