BMW Motorcycle announces record sales volume

BMW Group’s Motorcycles segment has seen a positive first nine months of 2014, as the OEM’s sales volume surpassed 100,000 by the end of September for the for time ever.

Through Sept. 30, sales volume is up 7.6 percent to 100,217 units. The first nine months also saw revenues increase by 10.9 percent to € 1.37 billion, while EBIT grew 57 percent to € 146 million.

In the third quarter, sales volume was up 3.6 percent to 29,239 units. Q3 revenues grew by 14.2 percent to € 370 million, and EBIT improved to € 27 million, compared to negative € 4 million in Q3 2013.
