AMA announces personnel change in Racing Department
The American Motorcyclist Association recently announced that Alex Hunter has been moved to the position of motocross manager.
In his new AMA role, Hunter will oversee AMA Motocross sanctioning and featured event designations while working closely with AMA districts, promoters and organizers.
“The passion and dedication for the sport of motocross that Alex brings to the department is just what we need in this ever-changing landscape of competition,” said AMA Director of Racing Kevin Crowther. “I am confident that, with his experience and expertise, Alex will help the AMA continue to elevate and provide the best motocross sanctioning services possible.”
Hunter has been with the AMA for six years. He originally was hired as the motocross assistant manager. For the past three years, he has served as the Racing Department project manager.
Hunter grew up in Kentucky, where he spent his days racing motocross and ultimately earned his AMA professional motocross license. During that time, he also gained valuable experience promoting and running a race series.
Alexandria Reasoner, an avid dirt bike rider, continues as the motocross coordinator.
