Freedom Powersports acquires Honda franchise from RPM Cycle
Freedom Powersports Farmers Branch has acquired the Honda franchise formerly housed at RPM Cycle in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.
Tom Macatee of Powersports Listings Mergers & Acquisitions announced the closing of the sale, ownership transfer, and relocation of RPM Honda to Freedom Powersports Farmers Branch.
RPM Cycle will maintain its current location, an eye-catching and spacious 22,000 square-foot facility on the frontage road of I-35E, just north of the I-635 loop in North West DFW. RPM Cycle’s lineup now includes Triumph, Moto Guzzi, Aprilia and Motus.
RPM owner Alejandro Romero reached out to Macatee to facilitate the transaction. As predicted, the opportunity caught the eye of the growing Freedom Powersports group, which operates a dealership less than one mile to the south of RPM, with the lines of Polaris, Kawasaki, Textron Off Road and EZGO. After many weeks of negotiation, a deal was struck for Freedom Powersports to acquire the Honda franchise and associated inventories.
“Powersports dealership buy/sell transactions are never easy and I give many thanks to David Clay, Tom Macatee, and the entire Powersports Listings M&A team for their professionalism and dedication to stay the course to the end,” Romero said.
