Ex-MAG VP named president of S&S Cycle

News release

S&S Cycle Inc. welcomes a new company President, Paul Langley. Paul’s sterling qualifications include a wealth of leadership experience in the power sports industry, having held executive positions with industry mainstays, Dynojet, SuperTrapp, and Vance & Hines. He comes to S&S directly from the Motorsport Aftermarket Group (MAG), where he served as the vice president of International Strategy and OEM Relations.

“It is truly an honor to be welcomed into the S&S family, and it is my pledge to work each day to live up to the responsibility I have been entrusted with. S&S stands as one of the great icons of the v-twin industry. Among all of its tremendous resources, it’s the passion of the S&S team that is the company’s single greatest resource, and I look forward to working with this incredible group of people to develop exciting new products and partnerships for the future,” Langley said.

S&S Board of Directors Chairman John McGinnis had this to say: “We feel very fortunate to have someone of Paul’s caliber and breadth of experience to head up our company. His business acumen and knowledge of this industry, combined with his vision and proven leadership ability will make our team an unstoppable force in the market place.”

Former President, CEO and Chairman Emeritus, George B. Smith put it into a historical perspective. “Back in 1958, my father started S&S Cycle with his racing buddy Stanley Stankos. The V-twin aftermarket was in its infancy and it was a pretty simple place to do business. Today our product line, and the V-twin market as a whole, is anything but simple. We need someone who can steer this company through a complex maze of challenges and opportunities, and come out a winner. I have no doubt that we’ve picked the right guy!”

Langley takes up the reins at S&S Cycle’s corporate headquarters in Viola, WI on March 2, 2015.
