RBC analyst: Harley Q4 retail trends on track

Harley-Davidson’s quarter-to-date retail trends “appear decent,” according to a research note provided to Powersports Business by RBC Capital Markets analyst Edward Aaron.

“We believe Harley saw some acceleration in November, and we estimate that U.S. retail sales through the first two months of the quarter are up in roughly the mid-single-digit range,” Aaron wrote.

Aaron went on to write, “Harley should be able to achieve our +3 percent U.S. retail estimate for Q4.” In addition, Aaron writes that most dealers “continue to report y/y margin improvement driven by improved pricing and relative strength in the touring segment.”
