Octane announces leadership changes
Octane has named Steve Daum as its vice president of Partnerships in Powersports and OPE, and Stacey Pray as its vice president of Powersports and OPE Sales.
Daum is now responsible for securing new partnerships in the powersports and outdoor power equipment industries and expanding relationships with Octane’s existing OEM partners.
Daum joined Octane in 2022 as the vice president of Sales and helped Octane achieve incredible growth milestones. He helped the company surpass $1.2B in originations in 2022 and 2023, grow its number of dealer partners, and expand into new markets, including electric vehicles, RVs, and more.
Before joining Octane, Daum held senior roles like vice president and chief sales officer in the powersports industry. He was responsible for growth with powersports OEM and dealership partners in these roles. Daum graduated from Lourdes College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting.
Stacey Pray has been promoted to vice president of Sales at Octane. She will lead the Powersports and OPE Sales teams to achieve the company’s growth goals and guide its strategic planning.
Pray joined Octane in 2021 as the director of Consumer Operations and helped streamline the online prequalification experience for powersports enthusiasts. Later that year, she took over the Consumer channel and oversaw the growth of Octane Prequal, Octane’s first prequalification tool, from 40 to over 600 dealers. She was named the senior director of Partnerships in 2023. In that role, she drove operational efficiency, strengthened Octane’s loan program, expanded partnerships with industry-leading OEMs, and onboarded new partners.
Before joining Octane, Pray held senior roles at both Ally and AppOne. She also has extensive sales experience. She started her career at an automotive dealership and later co-owned a dealership. Pray graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration and Management. In 2023, Pray was named a Powersports Business Women With Spark award winner for her tremendous contributions to the powersports industry.
