PSI gains support from Yuasa Battery
The PowerSport Institute has announced that it has the support of Yuasa Battery Inc.
During PSI courses, students are taught the fundamentals of battery construction and maintenance as well as how to test, charge and install Yuasa batteries on the 400 vehicles available on campus. A Yuasa battery will also be used in the custom chopper-bagger that students are building for the 2011 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Annual World Championship of Custom Bike Building Competition, which will occur Aug. 8-14 in Sturgis, S.D.
“It’s a pleasure working with companies that care about the future of our industry and can support the success of our students,” PSI campus director Bernie Thompson said. “Batteries are an essential component to powersport vehicle electrical systems, and we appreciate Yuasa supplying PSI with over 300 batteries for our students to use as training aids while conducting electrical system testing.”
