Arctic Cat recalls thousands of snowmobiles

Arctic Cat Inc. has recalled 16,500 snowmobiles because of a suspension arm issue.

The snowmobiles recalled include all 2010 Z1, TZ1, F, Bearcat, M and CF models, according to a report made with the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The front lower suspension arm can crack during use, which can lead to a loss of control. Arctic Cat has received 13 reports of suspension arms cracking. No one has been injured as a result.

Consumers have been ordered to immediately stop using snowmobiles and contact the dealer for the repair. All registered owners of the affected snowmobiles were notified by mail.
