Harley to receive $25 million tax incentive
Wisconsin will give Harley-Davidson Inc. $25 million in tax credits to preserve jobs at its plants in the Milwaukee area and Tomahawk, according to a report from the Associated Press.
The Department of Commerce said Friday a tax credit package over nine years is linked to jobs and capital investments by Harley and purchases from in-state suppliers.
Earlier this week, Harley-Davidson factory workers in Wisconsin voted to keep the company’s manufacturing jobs in state and accept a number of concessions in return.
Last year another local manufacturing powerhouse, boat engine builder Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac, received $70 million in tax credits to keep jobs in Wisconsin.
