Industry veteran joins electric bike manufacturer

Industry veteran Scot Harden has joined Zero Motorcycles as its vice president of global marketing.

Harden, who comes to the electric motorcycle manufacturer from BMW/Husqvarna, brings more than 40 years of racing, management, product development and brand-building experience in the industry to Zero. Throughout his career, Harden has held executive sales, marketing and race team management positions with leading European motorcycle OEMs, most notably KTM, dating back to 1982. He returned to BMW/Husqvarna in 2008 and served as the national marketing director and Race Team Manager prior to making the jump to Zero.

“Scot is a seasoned veteran, whose experience, management style and innovative thinking will help us to achieve new levels of brand awareness and market acceptance while complementing our existing efforts,” Gene Banman, CEO of Zero Motorcycles, said in a press release. “He is an excellent addition to our management team and we are looking forward to working with Scot in his new capacity at Zero Motorcycles.”

“I couldn’t be more excited or more invigorated by the opportunities that lie ahead for Zero,” said Harden. “We have a real chance to transform the industry and I’m looking forward to working with the team at Zero to implement their vision and to see the change that it will bring.”
