Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. names new president

Takeshi Teranishi started his new position as president of Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., Wednesday. Former President Shigehiko (Scott) Kiyama returned to Japan to be general manager of the Supply Chain Division of the Consumer Products and Machinery Company at Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI), according to a press release from Kawasaki.

Teranishi previously headed the sales and marketing division at KHI’s Consumer Products and Machinery Company as well as served in various key planning positions in Kawasaki’s European operations.

Kiyama said in the release Teranishi will bring a “considerable amount of consumer products background, and he is in a good position to quickly adapt to the market here in the U.S.”
