ADP earns small profit in 2Q

Automatic Data Processing (ADP) saw its fiscal second quarter net income rise 3 percent to $300.5 million, up from $291.2 million in 2007, reported the company.

ADP’s revenue increased to $2.2 billion, which is up 2.5 percent from the prior-year period. Revenue growth, however, was cut by nearly 3 percentage points in the second quarter due to the stronger dollar.

ADP’s computer services to auto, truck, motorcycle, marine and recreational vehicle dealers posted a 1 percent decline in revenue for the quarter.
