Harley-Davidson changes leadership in Financial Services Unit

Harley-Davidson’s Chief Financial Officer Tom Bergmann will now assume the responsibility of interim president of Harley-Davidson Financial Services (HDFS), effective immediately, the company reported in a press release.

The change in positions is a result of the resignation of HDFS President Sy Naqvi. Naqvi joined HDFS as president in February 2007. Bergmann will serve as interim HDFS president while the company conducts an external search.

Current CEO Jim Ziemer says Tom is the right person for Harley-Davidson Financial Services. “In the current economic environment, HDFS is an especially important priority for us and Tom has been highly involved in guiding that business,” he said in the release.
