JAMA sets 2009 Tokyo show dates

The 41st Tokyo Motor Show will be held Oct. 23-Nov. 8, 2009, show organizer the Japanese Automobile Manufacturers Association said in a statement April 21. The 17-day show will be at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba City.

Oct. 23 will be a press day, with the show opening to the public the following day. The Tokyo Motor Show is a comprehensive show that includes exhibits for motorcycles, passenger cars, commercial vehicles, parts, machinery and tools.

The 2007 show was Tokyo’s first as a comprehensive show and attracted 246 exhibitors from 11 countries. It recorded 77 world premiere exhibits and more than 1.4 million visitors.
