Arctic Cat reports better-than-industry-average sale percentage gains

Arctic Cat reported better-than-industry-average sales gains in the ATV and snowmobile segments for its 2007 fiscal year, but an overall drop in its net earnings compared to a year ago.

The Thief River Falls, Minn., manufacturer also reported some upcoming strategic changes, including the reorganization of its staff, a change in its headquarters and a planned drop in its 2008 snowmobile production. The company said it will lower sled production by 30 percent for the upcoming fiscal year.

For its previous fiscal year, the manufacturer increased ATV sales by 9 percent to $431.5 million and upped its snowmobile sales by 4 percent to $247 million.
