Sparta Commercial Services, Inc. announced that Canton, Ga., has become the latest jurisdiction to join the company's Municipal Lease Program with the acquisition of new Harley-Davidson police motorcycles. The Sparta program allows governmental agencies to lease over a number of years, rather than purchase the equipment, and thereby reduce the strain on capital budgets.
"The first municipal lease arrangement we did with Sparta Commercial Services for the City of Woodstock [Ga.] went so smoothly that when the City of Canton asked if we could provide a lease for their motor fleet, we had no reservations about contacting Sparta again," said Ty Phillips, sales manager of Harley-Davidson of Cartersville, Ga., the dealership that provided the motorcycles for this transaction.
"This was our first experience with leasing our motorcycles, and the professionals at Sparta's Municipal Leasing division made it easier than we would have thought possible," said Sgt. Jeff Tucker of the Canton Police Department. "They walked us through the process quickly and efficiently and got us the fleet we needed with the budget we had. It has been a real pleasure working with them."
