Harley-Davidson canceled its plans to build a $10 million plant for its Buell motorcycle division, according to the Associated Press.
Harley-Davidson spokeswoman Rebecca Bortner said in the release that executives dropped the plan after the company’s new CEO, Keith Wandell, “took a fresh look” at the consolidation.
Last week, Buell said it would lower costs by consolidating five office and factory locations into a new plant in East Troy.
Bortner says Harley wants to remain focused on its larger capital restructuring plans, including the possibility of closing its York, Pa., plant.Click here for reuse options!
