Arctic Cat’s third-quarter ATV sales plunged 24 percent from the previous year period to roughly $70 million. For the first nine months of its fiscal year, Arctic Cat is down 27 percent in ATV sales at approximately $207 million.

Predictably, snowmobile revenue also declined as the company had earlier reported a scheduled cutback in production. Snowmobile sales declined 44 percent in the third quarter to roughly $60 million and 32 percent for its first three quarters to approximately $168 million.

Overall the Thief River Falls, Minn., manufacturer reported a net loss of $3.7 million a year after reporting a net gain of more than $23 million in the year-ago period.
