Dealership co-owner dies in snowmobile crash

Byron Schroeder, the 56-year-old co-owner of Hayward Power Sports in Hayward, Wis., died Saturday as the result of a snowmobile accident.

Schroeder had been riding on Spider Lake in Hayward when he crashed. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the Sawyer County Record reported. In addition to Hayward Power Sports, Schroeder co-owned other local businesses and was president of the Sawyer County Snowmobile and ATV Alliance.

Thank you all for prayers and well wishes as we grieve our Matriarch Bryon. We will celebrate Bryon’s life on Wednesday evening at Anderson-Nathan-Koerpel Funeral home in Hayward from 4pm-8pm and services on Thursday March 13th at 2pm at Wesleyan Church in Hayward. Hayward Power Sports will be closing at 2pm on Wednesday and closed all day Thursday.
