V-Twin Expo awards Industry Leader honor to Roland Sands

There’s no doubt Roland Sands has had an impact on the V-twin industry. His namesake company Roland Sands Design began building custom motorcycles in 2005, and the company has grown since then, adding parts and apparel to its offerings in recent years.

Those contributions to the industry led Sands to be named the Industry Leader of the Year at the V-Twin Expo Feb. 2-3 in Cincinnati. He was joined in being honored by S&S Cycle’s George Smith Jr., who won the Lifetime Achievement award.

Honors were also given to top products, including: Performance Product of the Year — Barnett Clutches & Cables Scorpion Under Cover Lockup Clutch; Accessory of the Year — JIMS ForceFlow Cylinder Head Cooler; Value Product of the Year — Wimmer Custom Cycle EZ Release; Audio Product of the Year — Cycle Sounds Rock Box.
