Survey delves into dealers’ preowned-to-new unit sales ratio

Despite a U.S. trend toward more used bike sales, the majority of dealerships on average sell less than one used unit for every one new unit, according to a national survey.

The survey is part of the upcoming “Increase profits selling used units” Webinar being hosted by Powersports Business and Cycle Trader.

The event, part of the new Business Excellence Webinar Series, will not only look at the current preowned market, but also provide dealers tactics to improve their preowned retail sales and improve profit margins.

The Webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, June 29, at 1 p.m. Central Time. There is no cost to participate for dealers or other industry officials.

To register, go to: https://powersportsbusiness.webex.com/powersportsbusiness/onstage/g.php?t=a&d=662886722

The first 25 dealership personnel to register receive free admission to Powersports BusinessProfit Xcelerator, a multi-day dealership education conference and expo to be held this fall in Las Vegas. That’s a value of $329.

The Webinar will provide an exclusive look at the national survey, which includes preowned and new unit sales information from more than 200 dealerships.
