Polaris CEO to speak at Morgan Stanley Global Consumer & Retail Conference
Polaris Inc. has announced that it will speak at the Morgan Stanley Global Consumer & Retail Conference at the InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel in New York on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 11:45 a.m. Eastern Time. Multiple Fortune 500 companies are lined up to speak at the conference, including Coca-Cola and Wal-mart.
Polaris has experienced a turbulent year (as have many OEMs) in a challenging retail economy. As consumer confidence and retail demand remain challenging, Polaris says it is focusing on managing dealer inventory and delivering better operational efficiency.
“A healthy dealer network is one of the critical components to our long-term success, which is why we have anchored our current production and shipment plans to our goal of lowering dealer inventory by 15 to 20 percent by the end of the year, and I am encouraged by the progress being made,” comments Mike Speetzen, CEO of Polaris Inc, who notes that it expects a challenging retail environment throughout the rest of 2024 and into next year.
Speetzen says that despite the headwinds and challenging environment, they’ve made headway in driving costs out of manufacturing and operations. “I believe the actions we are taking today will enable us to emerge stronger and deliver on our long-term growth targets, meaningful margin expansion, and value to shareholders.”
Polaris’ Q3 net income was $28 million, a decrease of a whopping 82 percent compared to the third quarter of 2023.
