AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame receives $14,500 grant for new facility
The American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation (AMHF), which operates the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in Pickerington, Ohio, has received a $14,500 grant from the Fairfield County Foundation to help fund construction of a new Motorcycle Rider Safety and Community Support Building on its campus.
The grant will cover 50% of the project’s costs, with funding provided through the George and Dollie L. Zimpfer Memorial Fund. The unrestricted fund supports community projects, local food pantries and youth programs in Lancaster and Fairfield County, Ohio.
“We’re grateful to the Fairfield County Foundation and to our local community that has embraced the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame,” says AMA President and CEO Rob Dingman. “This grant reflects the kind of local partnership that makes our work possible, and we appreciate their support in constructing a facility that will welcome guests to the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame campus and create a better events experience for riders in Fairfield County and beyond.”
Construction is expected to be completed by early 2027. The multi-purpose building will provide storage for safety equipment and event supplies, along with a dedicated office area for event registration, concessions, volunteer coordination, emergency response documentation and other operational needs during public events.
The facility is intended to expand the foundation’s capacity to host events for residents and visitors while creating additional opportunities for rider education, motorcycle heritage preservation and community engagement.
