USA claims first-ever FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup victory
The United States captured its first-ever title at the 2026 FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup, delivering a commanding performance at Australia’s Wonthaggi Circuit to top rival teams from Australia and New Zealand.

Led by team captain Lachlan Turner, the American squad put together a dominant weekend, finishing with just 35 points to secure the overall victory. Host nation Australia followed with 65 points, while New Zealand rounded out the podium at 103.
Turner set the tone for Team USA with a consistent 1-2-1 moto performance, anchoring a lineup that showed depth across all riders. The win marks a significant step forward for the American program, which finished runner-up in 2025 by a narrow two-point margin to Australia.

“This win at the FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup is incredibly special for Team USA,” states team manager Christina Denney. “It was a true team effort — every rider showed up, rode with heart and delivered when it mattered most. I’m extremely proud of how they represented not only themselves, but our country.”
Supporting Turner’s effort was a strong showing from 16-year-old Mayla Herrick, who posted 3-3-3 finishes across the motos. Jordan Jarvis added a steady 4-4-4 performance, while Jamie Astudillo contributed with 5-7-6 finishes to help solidify the Americans’ advantage.
The decisive victory underscores the growing strength of women’s motocross in the United States and highlights the effectiveness of the American Motorcyclist Association’s development pipeline on the international stage.
With momentum now firmly on its side, Team USA’s breakthrough win at Wonthaggi could signal the beginning of a new era of American success in international women’s motocross competition.
