Meyer adds Lokithor LPS Series LiFePO4 starting batteries
Meyer Distributing has added the Lokithor LPS Series of LiFePO4 starting batteries to its powersports product offering. The LPS Series is designed for motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles and personal watercraft, combining lithium iron phosphate technology with starting performance in a package that is more than 50% lighter than traditional lead-acid batteries.

The batteries feature built-in battery management system (BMS) protection, low self-discharge and low-temperature heating for cold-weather starts. Low-voltage protection helps preserve reserve power for starting, while Bluetooth connectivity allows users to monitor and control the battery from a smartphone. The Bluetooth system also provides an option to disable the battery for added security.
“[T]hese LiFePO4 batteries bring great features to the powersports market, and the battery design helps dealers minimize the inventory dollars needed to cover a large number of applications,” says Daniel Johns, category sales manager for powersports at Meyer Distributing.
Meyer said the LPS Series is part of its growing powersports product offering. The distributor carries more than 1,000 product lines and operates strategically located warehouse facilities to provide next-day delivery to most locations.
