Report: dealership acquires new location
Hicklin Powersports acquired Ames, Iowa-based Fenders Honda’s stock and took over its building lease, according to a report from the Ames Tribune.
“We saw an opportunity to grow our business from the metro Des Moines farther north,” he said.
Fender Honda, which has a location in Des Moines, previously occupied a building at the corner of South 16th Street and South Duff Avenue before making the move to the Lincoln Way location last November.
The store retains Honda stock and adds BRP products, encompassing Sea-Doo, Can-Am and other powersport vehicle brands. It also has a service bay and a parts department.
Hicklin Powersports is based out of Grimes, Iowa, about 30 miles south of Ames.
