S&S Cycle, Automotive Technology Group to develop supercharger system

S&S Cycle and Automotive Technology Group signed an agreement to develop a supercharger system for a new motorcycle engine, according to WA Business News.

The two companies will manufacture numerous prototypes for the Sprintex X Wedge concept system for testing and development. Automotive Technology Group Executive Director Anthony Hamilton says more OEMs, both auto and motorcycle, are turning toward supercharging to meet stricter emissions and fuel efficiency targets globally.

“The Sprintex Supercharger achieves these two goals,” Hamilton said in the article, “while ensuring the performance demanded by today’s drivers can be achieved despite the move to smaller capacity engines.”

The 150Bhp engine will be emissions compliant in all jurisdictions with a global sales target, including EPA and ECE compliant.
