Polaris adds youth Ranger RZR to 2009 lineup
Polaris Industries announced an addition to its 2009 lineup, the Ranger RZR 170.
For youth riders 12 and up, the Ranger RZR 170 is styled like its adult counterpart. It has a four-stroke, air-cooled 169cc engine with electric start and an automatic transmission.
It also features all the safety features of Polaris’ youth lineup, including a removable ignition key, electronic throttle safety control, daytime running lights, side nets, full cab frame, three-point seat belts, color-coded foot controls, parking brake, hydraulic disc brakes and speed controls to enable adults to set a maximum speed control limit.
Like all Polaris’ youth ATVs purchased from an authorized dealer, the Ranger RZR 170 comes with a whip flag, speed limiter and safety video. It also comes with two DOT-approved helmets. U.S. dealers provide safety training for parents and the rider with every purchase.
