Here’s a look at some of the 14 new or significantly updated models that American Suzuki Motor Corp. showed recently at its annual dealer show:
Hayabusa
Did you know? The bike’s Suzuki Drive Model Selector, which allows the rider to choose from two different engine settings depending on riding conditions or rider preferences, first appeared on Suzuki’s 2007 GSX-R 1000.
Features:

  • Updated fuel injection system and overall 12 percent better performance than the previous model, the company said;
  • New design that retains the Hayabusa look but also improves rider protection from the wind;
  • Different intake and exhaust system than the 2008 B-King;
  • Passenger seat and rear subframe are lowered for improved passenger comfort;
  • Redesigned instruments and LCD panel, including new S-DMS mode indicator;

    B-King
    Did you know? This new limited-edition model features the 1340cc, liquid-cooled, 16-valve engine that is also on the new Hayabusa.

  • The Suzuki Drive Model Selector;
  • fuel injection and a 6-speed transmission;
  • 4-into-2-into-1 exhaust system with a large capacity catalyzer and oxygen sensors that meets Euro 3 and Tier 2 requirements.

    GSX650F
    Did you know? Suzuki views the 650F as a replacement to two bikes: the Katana 600 and 750, both of which fared well in the market.
    Features:

  • a liquid-cooled fuel injected 656cc engine;
  • 6-speed transmission with a hydraulic clutch;
  • design mirrors the existing popular GXX-R series;
  • handlebar is rubber-mounted for reduced vibration.

    Boulevard c109r
    Did you know? When Suzuki introduced its C90 model, the company waited a year before introducing a touring model. That won’t be the case this time as the touring model, the C109RT, will also be available in February.
    Features:

  • 1783cc, liquid-cooled V-twin engine;
  • electronic fuel injection system features the Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve system, which the company says maintains optimum air velocity;
  • New idle control system improves cold starting and stabilizes engine idle speed;
  • New floorboards for increased rider comfort and control.

    M109R Limited Edition
    Did you know? Suzuki might have to build more of these limited-edition models than it expected after a warm reception by dealers.
    Features:

  • 1783cc, liquid-cooled V-twin engine;
  • new special edition bike features racing stripe, checkerboard background gauge package and a textured seat;
  • a streamlined headlight cover carrying a unique shaped H4 halogen light.

    RM-Z450
    Did you know? Suzuki’s standout racer Ricky Carmichael had a hand in the design of this bike.
    Features:

  • first fuel injection system for a motocross bike, according to Suzuki;
  • 5-speed transmission to make the bike mover versatile for various terrains;
  • new, lighter chassis with improved rigidity balance;
  • race-inspired wave-rotors provide better cooling performance and increased mud deflection
