Cooper Tire & Rubber Company appoints CEO
Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has named Roy Armes as president and CEO. Armes also was elected the board’s director. He will assume the post effective Jan. 1. He will succeed Byron Pond, a board of directors member who has served as interim CEO since August.
Armes comes to Cooper following a 31-year career at Whirlpool Corp., where he was senior vice president. He brings to Cooper a wealth of experience in engineering, manufacturing, global procurement and international operations management as well as a track record of developing customer relationships and consumer-oriented products.
