Motorcycle ride set to honor dealership employee killed in road rage shooting
Coworkers of a Georgia scooter and motorcycle dealership employee killed in a road rage shooting are planning a motorcycle ride to honor his life, reports WANF Atlanta News First.
Tyler Sieber, 26, was shot and killed July 23 during a road rage incident near Atlanta, according to local county police. Investigators said another driver shot Sieber and drove away.
Sieber worked at Vespa Marietta, a dealership a few miles Northwest of Atlanta, and sells a range of Piaggio scooters and Royal Enfield motorcycles. His coworkers remembered him as kind, generous, and passionate about motorcycles.
“It’s just terrible to think that he’s not here,” said Vespa Marietta Sales Manager Mark Lewis to WANF.
Coworkers at the dealership would often call Sieber “Captain Tyler” for his love of motorcycles. Now, his family and friends are organizing a “Ride for Tyler” to celebrate his life. The 51-mile motorcycle ride will begin at Vespa Marietta and end in Jasper.
Sieber’s father told WANF that the family hopes the event will bring together the people who knew and loved his son.
The ride is also intended to keep attention on the investigation and the search for the person responsible for Sieber’s killing. DeKalb County police told Atlanta News First that detectives are still working to identify a suspect.
