Honda’s new unit sales drop in its third quarter
Honda’s powersports new unit sales in North America declined in its third quarter compared to the year-ago period.
The company’s third-quarter financial report shows a 4.6 percent drop in new unit sales in North America to 102,000 units. That number includes motorcycles, ATVs and PWC. For motorcycles alone, Honda’s third-quarter sales in North America declined 13.3 percent from a year ago to 52,000.
Overall, however, the company’s net income for its third quarter increased 38 percent compared to the past-year period to more than $1.7 billion.
