Power 50 dealership adding second store

Maddie’s Motor Sports LLC, a Powersports Business Power 50 dealership in 2016 and 2017 based in Dansville, New York, announced it will be acquiring a dealership and expanding into the Rochester metro market.

With one store located in Dansville, Maddie’s Motor Sports will acquire a Polaris, KTM and Husqvarna dealership located in Farmington, New York. Maddie’s executives have signed a letter of intent for the purchase of O’Neill Sales, Inc., which has been in operation since 1976. This acquisition will give Maddie’s two multi-line dealerships in the Western New York region.

Maddie’s Motor Sports was founded in 2012 in Dansville, and much like O’Neill Sales is a family-owned and -operated business. Maddie’s Motor Sports prides itself on delivering outstanding customer service and offering a wide variety of products at reasonable prices.

“We have had our eyes on expanding over the past few years and after continuing talks with the O’Neill family it became apparent that this was a good fit for us. William and Victoria O’Neill have put years of hard work and dedication into their dealership and we plan to carry on that tradition. We are eager to provide the area with an expanded product selection and our special Maddie’s Motor Sports brand of customer service,” said Maddie’s vice president and general manager Graham Marcus.

Marcus said Maddie’s plans to retain O’Neill’s employees and transition additional Maddie’s staff members from its Dansville location to oversee the acquisition. Maddie’s plans to dramatically increase the number of powersports products available for sale at the Farmington dealership, expand the parts and service operations, enhance marketing opportunities that reach customers across Western New York, and invest in a major capital improvement project. The expansion will provide ample space for the parts and service departments as well as an added showroom space to enhance displays of its products from its manufacturers.

At the completion of this expansion, Maddie’s is happy to announce it will be adding Indian Motorcycle to the list of manufacturers in the Farmington location.

Both Maddie’s dealerships have access to vast financing resources and offer personalized financing to suit each customer’s unique needs. Convenient, in-store financing is available, and Maddie’s specializes in successfully securing financing for every customer.

Pending completion of the acquisition, Maddie’s plans to continue to sell and service Polaris products, KTM, and Husqvarna motorcycles at the Farmington store. The dealership will also continue to pursue other opportunities in the market as they become available.
